Throughout March, Douglas County eateries are offering special cheesy treats to help ward off the winter blues. Restaurants will donate $2 for each sandwich purchased to UCAN’s Feeding Umpqua regional food bank. Not only will residents have the opportunity to perform a Gouda deed for our community, they will have the chance to win prizes by collecting passport stamps for each location visited. Passports can be picked up at any participating location.
Kick-off for this year’s event will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10am-2pm at the Umpqua Bank office located at 445 SE Main Street Roseburg. Folks attending the event will get cheesy bites, can pick up their passports, and will have family-fun booths with crafts and activities for their children. The event will be going on at the same time as the Umpqua Valley Farmers’ Market, located right around the block, so those coming to the kick-off can wander nearby and pick up some more yummy foods.
