You can reduce hunger in Douglas County by donating food to The UCAN Food Bank

We welcome food from individual donors, those hosting food drives, and local growers of veggies, fruits, eggs and meat. When you have food to donate, stop by The UCAN Food Bank’s warehouse Monday-Thursday from 8am-4pm and we’ll meet you to pick up the food. The warehouse is located at 284 Kenneth Ford Drive in Roseburg.

Foods We Especially Appreciate

Fresh produce, eggs, and meats
Canned meats (tuna or chicken)
Chili, stew, soups
Peanut butter
Nuts and dried fruit (low sugar)
Canned vegetables
Canned fruits (without syrup)
Cereal
Protein Bars

Items we can’t accept

Rusty or unlabeled cans
Homemade foods
Non-commercial canned or packaged items
Alcoholic beverages, mixes or sodas
Opened or used items
Items past their expiration date

Hosting a Food Drive Is a Great Way to Increase the Food You Collect for Donation!

Steps to Host a Food Drive:

1. Select someone to lead the food drive or create a leadership committee.
2. Determine how much food you want to collect
3. Set a start and finish date for your food drive.
4. Reserve a place to hold your drive.
5. Obtain items to collect donated food. You can contact us at (541) 492-2126 and we’ll provide you with food collection barrels.
6. Get the word out about your food drive.
7. Host the food drive.
8. Thank those who help with the food drive.
