Get Involved with Senior Corps
If you are 55+, you can serve your community by becoming a member of Senior Corps. Senior Corps connects you with the people and organizations that need you the most. Senior Corps helps you become mentors, coaches or companions to people in need, or contribute your job skills and expertise to community projects and organizations. You receive guidance and training so you can make a contribution that suits your talents, interests, and availability. The great thing about Senior Corps is that while you help others, you help yourself. Members enjoy making connections with other like-minded individuals, using existing skills for the betterment of others, and developing new skills. Depending on which Senior Corps program you participate in, you may be eligible to earn a stipend for your service. And studies even show that those who volunteer in their community live happier, healthier lives.
